Rodney D. Rimmer, M.S. To enhance the Sunhouse mission Mr. Rodney Rimmer, M.S., and Sunhouse co-founder, utilizes his specialized training program, "Transitional Life-Skills Counseling". Mr. Rimmer uses an integrated career counseling/substance use management course specifically written to address the issues which are exclusive to the addict / alcoholic / homeless individual desiring to re-enter the world of work. As co-founder of Sunhouse, Rodney's desire is to provide a quality service unlike any other per career counseling and an alternative treatment program for at-risk populations. Rodney holds a Master of Science in Counseling, specializing in Career Counseling from CSU Sacramento (2002).
JoJo Ward-Rimmer: Life-Skills Instructor and Sunhouse co-founder, JoJo Rimmer also serves in a volunteer capacity as the Executive Director. She brings twenty years of personal and professional experience dealing with homelessness, substance use management and employment barriers to the forefront of her commitment to Sunhouse and its clients. A former recipient of traditional treatment, JoJo continues to improve, research and supply the best possible alternative treatment options available for her students. Her goal is to have Sunhouse serve as a catalyst in the treatment of this population and to honor the Sunhouse intention to address the client as an indivisible human being, rather than a collection of component parts. JoJo is a Registered Addiction Specialist Intern with Breining Institute (Sacramento).
